Words can’t explain the feeling
One week that I will remember and cherish forever. Words can’t explain the feeling of Ishara and the people here. Thank you so, so, so much for allowing me to share the beauty of this place and the people here through my art. The fact that Ishara invests in art, film, and creativity on top of everything else you do shows you care and that means so much more than you all know.

Such a gorgeous memory
Where can we even begin?! From the cinema landing at the airstrip and meeting the amazing Chris, we were welcomed with open arms. The breathtaking moments we’ve witnessed… on the game drives, on the random coffee breaks in the middle of the safari, on the unforgettable bush breakfast and sensational sundowners experience… we have been overwhelmed with golden moments.
We have truly felt a part of the Ishara family. Thank you for creating such a gorgeous memory for me and mum — the safari was beyond our imagination and Ishara was beyond our wildest dreams. We thank you from our deepest hearts!

By far one of the best family holidays
Ishara Mara has been by far one of the best family holidays we’ve had. We were here 17 years ago with my late father and this trip was an homage to him and the memories we had created with him. It helped us not only relive those memories but also create the most wonderful new ones as our family has grown. My brother who was 3 is now 21, 2 of us are married + a grandchild in the mix too.
We saw the circle of life completed before our eyes, a baby topi killed by a cheetah + a baby topi being born a few minutes later. Thank you for everything and making this experience everything we could have hoped for and more!

The last four days have been the most magical experience. I have never experienced such amazing service, memories and friendships in such a short period of time. The Big 5 in a day
Thanks to the Ishara family, we had an incredible experience on our first ever safari. We managed to see the Big 5 all in one day thanks to the skilful driving and spotting of Kelvin and Tyson. The experiences created by the team will stay with us forever. We hope to visit again one day.

Impeccable, exquisite, ethereal and sublime barely scratch the surface as words one could use to describe Ishara. From the moment we walked across the bridge, we knew we were some place very special — and we hadn’t even gotten far enough across to see that we were being serenaded!
We are leaving with full hearts and full bellies, which demonstrates the level of care and attention we have been shown. While the game viewing stirs excitement and the tented accommodations are so regal that you forget you’re in a tent, those two entities are really just a bonus because the very heart of Ishara is the Ishara family; such a spectacular, warm, authentic, personable, loving and professional group of people — people who love their culture and live to celebrate it — who have truly made us feel like we are a part of. Never did we anticipate such special care and such wonderful connections. The property is visually stunning, the culinary program is absolutely divine and the spa nestled among the trees is one of the most relaxing places you can be. Until the day we return, we carry the fondest of memories and beaded gifts we already treasure that will remind us daily of spectacular Ishara.
